A recent Meta-analysis, published in the International Urology and Nephrology Journal and authored by leading physicians from Kings College and University College in London, reviewed long-term efficacy of low-intensity shockwave therapy for Vasculogenic Erectile Dysfunction.

The study was presented at the American Urological Association Annual Scientific Meeting held May 3-6, 2019 at the McCormick Center in Chicago.  The study was performed by   Dr. Lu Mujun of Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Shanghai , China.

Direx Korea launches Renova at AKU (Autumn)

In line with Direx Korea's objective to contribute to healthcare and develop strategic partnership with leading urologists, Direx Korea exhibited at Association of Korean Urologist Congress (Autumn) to announce the launch of Renova's Linear Shockwave Therapy for ED Treatment. Some heavy-hitter urologists are testing a promising novel procedure known as shockwave therapy that could become a noninvasive, pill-free, game-changing fix in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED).ED is a frustrating condition that experts say affects some 50 percent of men between the ages of 40 and 70.

Ranjith Ramasamy, M.D., assistant professor of urology and director of reproductive urology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, spoke recently before members of the American Urological Association at its annual convention in San Francisco. His presentation was a summary of randomized clinical trials he conducted on the effects of shockwave therapy for treating erectile dysfunction (ED), a chronic condition that affects 30 million men in the U.S.

Renova Symposium Hanoi, Vietnam

A symposium dedicated to Linear Shockwave Therapy for ED, showcasing Direx's Renova system, took place in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Direx announced today that it has received approval from the Saudi Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) to market its Renova system in Saudia Arabia for the treatment of Erectile Dysfunction.

Dual Shockwave has a potential to increase fragmentation due to shockwaves applied from 2 different angles to the stone which has crystalline structure. Dr. Gatkin et al., Zdorovie Center, Dept. of Urology, Barnaul, Russia, will be presenting his conclusion at the upcoming EAU exhibition to take place in London March 24 at 10:45 in the Milan room.

Renova in Shanghai, China

A Renova 2-day event was successfully conducted in Shanghai where the Renova product, protocol and clinical successes were presented to 50 local and provincial dealers active in the field of sexual medicine and urology. Chinese FDA approval is expected during Q1/ 2017, following a successful multi-site randomized clinical study that further demonstrates Renova's clinical benefit –the unique Linear Shockwave technology.

The 16th Course of Andrology will take place from November 9-11, 2016.  Dr. Natalio Cruz, along with other leading doctors, will be participating in the session titled "Controversies in Sexual Medicine, Efficacy of new therapeutic activities to address male sexual dysfunction". Session is to take place on Thursday, November 10 at 10:20 am.

ISSM 2016: World Meeting on Sexual Medicine

Toshikazu Otani, MD, Director of  Urology at  CHUBU ROSAI HOSPITAL, Japan, will present a poster (#406) entitled: "ED Treatment using Second Generation Technology of LI-ESWT" at the 20th World Meeting on Sexual Medicine and Global Chinese Andrology and Sexual Medicine Congress. The Congress will take place in Beijing, China from September 22-25, 2016

The symposium will take place in the framework of the National Congress of Urology. The discussion will be about “Current Status and Future Prospects of Shockwave Therapy for Erectile Dysfunction” and will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel, Salon Medellin, on August 11, at 3 pm.

Prof Tom Lue reviewed and analyzed 14 clinical studies concluding that LISW is beneficial in treating patients suffering from erectile dysfunction. Two of these studies  were written by Drs. Bechara and Casabe (Argentina) and Dr. Pelayo Nieto (Mexico) using the Renova device with Linear Shockwave Therapy. This conclusion, emphasizes and strengthens the concept that LISW is an effective technology in treating ED. 

Journal of Sexual Medicine, June 2016, published the Clinical Data of Prof. Amado Bechara (University of Buenos Aires), which presents the long term success of treatment provided to Non-Responder ED patients treated with Renova Linear Shockwave Therapy.

The latest write up on shockwave therapy for ED, is found in Folha de Sao Paulo,  which has the biggest circulation among the largest Brazilian newspapers and is regarded as one of the most influential daily news vehicles in Brazil*.  

Low Intensity shockwaves technique was presented in Oviedo in the auditorium of the College of Physicians of Asturias by a group of specialists where Renova's Linear technology was introduced. Increasingly, experts claim that erection problems, caused by the lack of supply of blood to the penis, "can be a red flag for cardiovascular disease, stroke or worse".

Dr. Otani, et al, of Chubu Rousai HP of Nagoya, Japan, presented his abstract at the 103rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Urological Association which took place April 18-21, 2015 in Kanazawa, Japan.

Dr. Casarico, from Italy, will be presenting his and Prof. Puppo's results of Renova treatment for Vascular Erectile Dysfunction. focusing on long term effects of over a year's follow-up.

A recent study published in Archivos Españoles de Urologia, validates marked results of effectiveness and safety of LIESWT on patients with ED who have failed to respond to PDE5i treatment.

Renova Reaches new Markets

The annual Congress of the International Society of Sexual Medicine ( ISSM), has combined forces this year with the Latin American Sexual Medicine Society ( SLAMS) offering an intense and focused program on new clinical applications.
